Memorial Tribute – Marty Koschmann
Marty Koschmann died September 10, 2010 in his home following a long battle with cancer. Marty and Gloria have been members of Park Hill Christian Church since September of 1977, having moved here from the Kansas City area. Marty was born in Wausau, Wisconsin on April 17, 1921. He attended Marquette University and Concordia Seminary and served in the United States Navy during World War II. Marty had a career in the retail industry and worked for Macy’s in Kansas City and Dillard’s Department Stores in Little Rock. He was an active member of the Friendship Sunday School Class, Disciples Men’s Fellowship, and he served in many ways here at the church including Elder, choir member, and chair of evangelism.
Marty is survived by his wife of 62 years, Gloria, his brothers, Don (Helen), Dennis (Julie) and Ken (Mary). Marty and Gloria have four children: Tim (Barbara), Peter (Linda), Judy (Randy) and Marty II (Brandi). He and Gloria have eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. A memorial service for Marty was held Saturday, September 18, 11:00 a.m. at Park Hill Christian Church.
