Rev. Steven Sherrill

Rev. Sherrill became the Associate Minister of Park Hill Christian Church in January of 2015. Previously, he served as Pastor of Ivy Chapel Christian Church in Little Rock since June of 2006.

He is a graduate of Ole Main High School (now North Little Rock High School). He earned his Bachelor of Science Degree in Organizational Management from John Brown University in Siloam Springs, Arkansas. He obtained his Master of Divinity degree from Memphis Theological Seminary in Memphis, Tennessee.

Steven has a heart for God and began Christian ministry through singing. He started volunteering as a youth sponsor in the Methodist Church in the mid-1990s. He served as Youth Ministry Coordinator of Park Hill Christian Church for six years. He became a licensed minister in the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) in 2006 and was ordained at Park Hill Christian Church on June 5, 2011.

He and his wife, Tina (Gabby), have been members of Park Hill Christian Church since September 5, 1999. They live in North Little Rock and have two children, Alex and Piper. You can access Steven’s website to view Bible studies and Christian graphics at www.revstevensherrill.wordpress.com.

Rev. Billie Ann Dreher

Billie is a commissioned minister, serving our members and supporting the staff of Park Hill Christian. She is a retired high school art teacher and a certified instructor in Process Communication and team building. Billie is married to John Dreher, the mother of four, and a grandmother. She is excited to serve God in the capacity of helping others in creative ways. Please let her know if she can be of help to you or your ministry team.

 

 

 

Logan Smith

Logan J. Smith began playing with the Cross Roads Music Team in 2007 and joined Park Hill Christian Church as an official member in 2008.  He holds a Master of Music in Conducting from the University of Central Arkansas and joined the PHCC Ministry Team in August of 2017. Logan is a multi-instrumentalist, focussing on Guitar, Bass, and Trombone.  He is also a BMI composer and has had compositions and arrangements performed all over the world, including the International Trombone Festival in Birmingham, England, and the North American Saxophone Alliance in South Carolina.  A comprehensive list of his compositions and arrangements, as well as a list of his clients, can be found on his website, www.loganjsmith.com.

A graduate of Cabot High School, Logan received his college education at the University of Central Arkansas, where he studied Music Education under Dr. Ricky Brooks, Dr. Paige Rose, and Mr. Steven Smyth and Composition under Dr. Paul Dickinson. He also studied privately with Musicologist Dr. Jane Dahlenburg, Theory teacher Dr. Carl Anthony, and Trombonist Dr. Denis Winter. He was named Outstanding Student of the College of Fine Arts in 2006, served as President of the Kappa Iota chapter of Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia from 2005-2006, and Assistant Collegiate Province Representative of Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia’s Province 4 in 2007.  From 2007 to 2009, Logan worked as the Middle School Director/Brass Instructor for the Forrest City, Arkansas School District. From 2009-2011 he was a Graduate Assistant for the UCA Bands while pursuing Master’s of Music in Instrumental Conducting under the supervision of Dr. Ricky Brooks and Mr. Steven Smyth. From 2011-2013, he was the Director of Bands for Pulaski Academy and since 2013 has taught at Cabot High School where he was previously the Auditorium Manager and Technical Director for Theater and is currently the director of the CHS Jazz Band and teaches Music Appreciation and AP Music Theory.

Logan lives in Conway with his wife, Allison, and daughter, Lauren Joy.

Robin Abbott

Robin became the church secretary in April 2017.  She was born in North Kansas City, Missouri, but moved to North Little Rock at an early age.  She graduated from Sylvan Hills High School and then attended South Central Career College.

Robin holds a Bachelors in Education from UALR and was a teacher in North Little Rock for 15 years.  She is a member of First United Methodist Church in North Little Rock.  Robin lives in North Little Rock with her husband, Jimmy, and their dog, Charlie.

 

 

 

 

 

Mary Beth Hamot

Mary Beth became Park Hill Christian Church secretary in August of 2002. She retired from that position in March of 2017. In April of 2017, she became our Administrative Associate on a part-time basis. Mary Beth was born in Jonesboro, Arkansas but moved to North Little Rock at an early age and attended school there, graduating from North Little Rock High School.

She attends Central Baptist Church in North Little Rock and has been an active member for over 50 years. Mary Beth lives in Sherwood and has one daughter, Robin, and two grandchildren, Rachel and Ryan.

 

 

 

 

Jennie Gregory

Jennie Gregory is the infant/toddler teaching and care coordinator for Park Hill Christian for the regular Sunday morning worship and Sunday School events as well as Small Groups and other church-related events. She has a degree in physical therapy and retired as Director of Rehabilitation and Neurological Diagnostic Services for St. Vincent Health System. She has 40+ years of experience in child and youth teaching and leadership in the church. She will tell you that after years of being a youth sponsor that making the shift to infants and toddlers was not difficult. She is now caring for the children of many of the “youth” she helped raise.

She and her family have attended Park Hill Christian Church since 1981. She and her husband, David, are the proud parents of two grown children and have four grandchildren. She was born in Cincinnati Ohio, attended college at Ohio State University, but moved to Arkansas in 1974 and now claims Arkansas as home.

 

Gabby Sherrill

Tina “Gabby” Sherrill joined Park Hill Christian Church in September of 1999.  She works full-time for the State of Arkansas as a Fiscal Support Analyst with the Department of Finance and Administration. Gabby loves children and finds great joy in holding infants. She came on staff in 2018 where she assists Jennie Gregory as a nursery attendant.
